Iraqi government lies to evade consequences of torturous death of Camp Liberty resident

NCRI - Iraqi state television broadcasted a slanderous and false report on Sunday saying that: "A cell working for Khalq Organization [a reference to the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK)], that last October intended to kidnap Abbas Al-Ameri, director of the office of Sheikh Humam Hamoodi, had been arrested." Over the past four years the Iraqi state TV has been broadcasting many false reports against the PMOI and residents of Camp Ashraf and Camp Liberty. Camp Liberty physicians call on UN officials to end medical siege by Iraqi government

Camp Liberty No. 67 Martin Kobler depicts a false picture to let Iraq escape from consequences of medical siege NCRI- In a joint letter to Mrs. Navi Pillay, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, nine physicians residing in Camp Liberty and the residents’ legal advisor detailed the case of Behruz Rahimian, the camp resident who was slain due to obstruction made by Iraqi intelligence agents preventing him receiving proper medical treatment. The continued blockade of Camp Liberty escalated as perpetrators of killings and crimes were transferred to the camp

Camp Liberty No. 63 Simultaneous with Mr. Behrooz Rahimian’s torturous death, the cruel blockade of Liberty residents and their harassment have been escalated by transferring Major Ahmad Khuzayr and Captain Heydar Azab Mashi, two perpetrators of July 2009 and April 2011 massacres of Ashraf residents, to the camp. 1.   Since April 30, 2012, security forces of the Iraqi Prime Minister office have blocked many required goods from entering Camp Liberty such as winter clothing, shirts, plastic bags and cardboard boxes used for storing food. 2.   Iraqi security forces are still preventing residents from using the two forklifts owned by them. Sewage and rain water have covered all over the Liberty ground – Residents demand to return to Ashraf

Camp Liberty-No. 62 Following the continuous raining, water and sewage covered all over the Liberty ground making it almost impossible to commute within the camp. The sewage overflew on the ground polluting the whole camp and exposing the residents to various diseases and infections. Rising the level of rain water on the camp ground and the sewage overflow are due to two factors: First, breakdown and inefficiency of the infrastructure which the residents from day one raised with the UN officials and the SRSG over and over again but none of the written and verbal promises given by Martin Kobler have been fulfilled. Iranian exiles blame Iraq for death of refugee camp resident, say his hospitalization blocked

ASSOCIATED PRESS BAGHDAD (AP) — An Iranian exile group representing residents of a refugee camp outside Baghdad alleged Monday that one of its members has died after Iraqi authorities prevented him from being hospitalized last month. The allegation is the latest in a series of charges against the Iraqi government by the Paris-based National Council of Resistance of Iran over what it sees as poor treatment at two refugee camps in Iraq. Behrooz Rahimian was second resident to be slain at Liberty and the ninth member of his family to be killed Behrooz Rahimian, a PMOI member, died from a cardiac arrest on Sunday, December 23 at 12.00 noon, a month after the Iraqi intelligence service prevented from hospitalizing him. Iraqi Premiership, intelligence agents and the Prime Minister himself, under whose supervisions all these restrictions are being imposed, are responsible for his death as they did not allow his medical treatment. Maryam Rajavi welcomes Canada’s delisting of PMOI

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, described the removal of the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) from Canada’s list of terrorist entities and the designation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Qods Force a right step in the right direction.
