Obama signs act urging protection of Iranian dissidents in Camp Liberty

Congress calls on US Government to probe use of American weapons and training in killing of members of Iranian opposition, PMOI (MEK) in Iraq An act approved by the United States Congress and Senate calling for the protection and security of the residents of Camp Liberty in Iraq has been signed by President Barack Obama. The government spending bill signed into law on December 16 calls on the US government to demand congressional committee reports detailing the steps taken to address the plight of and resettlement needs of Iranian dissidents at Camp Liberty. Iraqi forces intensify pressures on Iranians in Camp Liberty in need of medical care

NCRI - The Iraqi force stationed in the camp near Baghdad International Airport that houses Iranian dissidents have prevented the entry of gasoline for a few vehicle used for transfer of the sick and wounded residents. This is the third week that the Iraqi forces ate not allowing the small amount of gasoline purchased by the residents to enter the camp. The residents basically use the vehicles to distribute food and to transport the sick and wounded and those who are unable to walk on gravel-covered walkways of the camp. Iraqi agents continue hindering Camp Liberty Iranians free access to medical care

NCRI - The cruel medical blockade on Camp Liberty and hampering access of residents to medical services continues. On 15 December 2014, while all coordination for transfer of five patients to hospital had been made, in the last minutes and for no reason, the Iraqi agents prevented the patients’ departure and thus they missed all of their medical appointments. Group warns of growing number of Iranian forces in Iraq

PARIS, France—The Iranian opposition group Mojahedin-e-Khalgh (MEK) warned of the growing number of Iran’s Qods forces in Iraq, saying that Tehran uses the fight against the Islamic State (ISIS) to assert itself in Iraq.
