UN strongly condemns attack on Iranian exiles camp in Iraq

30 October 2015 – The United Nations has strongly condemned the attack that occurred Thursday evening on a camp located near Baghdad International Airport that houses over 2,100 Iranian exiles and called for the perpetrators to be brought to justice. 57 trailers, 10 dining halls and 275 air conditioners destroyed or rendered totally nonfunctional The damages inflicted on PMOI (MEK) properties at Camp Liberty because of the missile attack last night (pictures attached) has been estimated at over $10 million. This includes 131 trailers completely destroyed and 226 rendered unusable. Ten dining halls have been totally devastated or can no longer be used. 275 air conditioners have also been demolished. Scenes of Horrific Destruction Caused by October 29 Rocket Attack on Camp Liberty

At 12:40 pm EST (19:40 pm local time) on Thursday October 29, 2015 at least 80 missiles slammed into Camp Liberty, where members of the main Iranian opposition group, the Mujahedin-e Khalq (PMOI, or MEK), have been residing since February 2012. So far 23 residents, including at least one woman, were killed and dozens have been injured. 20 of them were slain in the camp. Three of the residents died due to severity of the injuries in a Baghdad hospital.
