Khamenei’s Deputy International Affairs Adviser Admits to Iran Regime’s Cyber Attacks on Albania

Mohsen Pak-Aaein: With (Our) Robust Cyber Capability, Albania was convinced to take action against the MEK

On August 17, 2023, the Secretariat of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) reported that:

In an unprecedented confession, Mohsen Pak-Aaein, Deputy International Affairs Adviser of the Office of Ali Khamenei and the regime’s former ambassador in Zambia, Thailand, Uzbekistan, and the Republic of Azerbaijan, admitted that cyber-attacks on Albania have been carried out by the mullahs’ regime.

According to a report by the Khabar Online website on August 16, he praised the “dynamic and balanced diplomacy” of Ebrahim Raisi, who “paves difficult paths with self-confidence approaches,” stating, “The Americans say that Iran’s influence in the region is more dangerous than building a nuclear bomb. Has this influence not been created with power? If Iran’s deterrent power did not exist, the aliens’ cyber-attacks would have paralyzed us. With this robust cyber capability, Albania was convinced to take action against the MEK.”

Earlier, the Farhikhtegan newspaper, associated with Ali Akbar Velayati, an advisor to Khamenei, wrote on August 13: “Regarding the sudden imposition of restrictions by Albania against the MEK… one of the main reasons for such a decision was probably the severe blow that last year’s two cyber operations inflicted on the infrastructure of this country (Albania).”
